Solar control glass

Solar control glazing controls the amount of solar radiation that passes inside the premises.

 

The use of glass that filters solar radiation allows provide significant energy saving spent on the operation of air conditioners as well stimulates the creation of comfortable climatic conditions in the premises through the better glazing characteristics that holds part of the heat and light radiation.

 

Solar control characteristics expressed by solar ratio depend on:
  • The amount of heat absorbed by the glass;
  • The amount of reflected heat.
Some examples of solar control glass:
  1. Planibel Coloured - polished glass, tinted. Product that succumbs to a huge number of processing of different types and can be widely used in building, decoration, automobile industry, high technology. Basic sun protection factor. Is used as a basis for coating.

 

Usage: sheet window glass – glass units – multilayer glass – tampered glass – enameled glass

 

  1. Stopsol - glass with sun reflecting pyrolytic coating

Stopsol glass

Due to the high reflecting properties of this glass, the interior space is not visible from the outside, but inside creates the visual comfort as reflected light doesn’t blind the eyes.

Variety of the products in the Stopsol product line allows you to select the most suitable combination of light transmission level and solar control indicators.

According to European standard EN 1096-1, Stopsol relates to the coated glass of class А.

The variety of colours excellently combines with possibility to control excessive sunlight and light transmission level. Stopsol inspires architects to create extraordinary works at the same time it may have different functions.

 

Usage: as single glazing – for insulating glass units – multilayer glass – tampered enamelled glass.

 

3. Sunergy - glass with pyrolytic coating, combines anti-sun and thermal insulation properties with low light reflection.

Unusual appearance and visual comfort: high light transmission, weak mirror effect and neutral appearance. Comfort inside the room: significant thermal insulation characteristics are combined with anti-sun properties.

Glass with solid coating (applied by pyrolysis on the product line of float glass) succumbs to a large number of processing of different type, including tampering. Synergy inspires architects to create extraordinary works without constraining the desire to increase the application area of the glass.

  1. Stopray - glass with magnetron coating for protection from the sun and improved thermal insulation.

Krajbanka

Solar-control effect is achieved by a metal “selective” coverage. High level of light transmission, high solar radiation protection degree. Can be used in any climate: combines a high solar radiation protection degree during the summer season with a significant thermal insulation in winter.

Offered in different colours, entire colour range is characterized by a neutral appearance and low reflecting effect.

 

 Application: only in glass units.

DnB Nord

Enhanced properties: improved thermal insulation properties. Complete product line: glass with – solid coating (applied during manufacture of the glass by pyrolysis) or soft coating (applied on the finished glass by magnetron). Impact on the environment: low emission coating allows significantly reduce energy consumption and release of carbon dioxide.
